Carol-Ann Schindel, MBA, CPA, CVA CAROL is a licensed, practicing Certified Public Accountant and an owner of Kolita & Company, a professional service corporation. Professional experience during the past twenty years has been gained by providing tax, accounting and audit services to business owners in the manufacturing, construction, service, not-for-profit and entertainment sectors of our economy. Currently, Ms. Schindel spends most of her time helping clients in their efforts to comply with the various tax laws and regulations that are promulgated by the Federal, State, County and Municipal levels of government. She often represents clients by dealing directly with the Internal Revenue Service and other governmental authorities to resolve their inquiries and tax examination issues. Ms. Schindel represents clients before tax district authorities, at appeals hearings and at Tax Court. Ms. Schindel is a graduate of Walsh University where she majored in accounting and earned the degree of Bachelor of Arts. She also holds a Masters of Business Administration degree conferred upon her by John Carroll University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, The American Women's Society of CPAs and the Tax Club of Greater Cleveland. Ms. Schindel's community activities currently include serving on the Board of the United Way of Lake County; serving as a member of the Board of Trustees of Breckenridge Village; Volunteer member on the Leroy Township Recreation Committee; Campaign Treasurer for a successful candidate for public office. Previously she was President of the United Way of Lake County and before that served for ten years as their Treasurer. Ms. Schindel is a graduate of the Charter Class of Leadership Lake County. |

Ben Kolita, CPA, CVA BEN KOLITA is a licensed and practicing Certified Public Accountant, and Certified Valuation Analyst. He has more than twenty-five years of professional experience in offering owner-operators of small business of small businesses assistance in achieving their growth objectives. For the past fifteen years, he has served clients in Lake, Geauga and Cuyahoga counties. Ben's practice experience includes assisting clients with mergers and acquisitions and other valuation engagements. He is currently a "business valuation consultant" to the Probate Court of Lake County. He was previously a member of the management group in the Akron, Ohio office of one of the worlds largest international firms of Certified Public Accountants. Ben is a graduate of Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, accounting major. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has served as a Director of the Akron Chapter of the Ohio Society of CPAs and as chairman of the accounting and auditing standards committee. He has been an instructor for continuing education programs sponsored by the Ohio Society of CPAs and is a frequent speaker at S.C.O.R.E. new business seminars, a program sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration. He is an Emeritus member of the Board of Directors of the United Way of Lake County. He is also a past member of the Board of Directors of the Fairport Harbor Yacht Club. |
